Pregnancy weight gain calendar
Some women love their swollen bellies and full breasts during pregnancy while others feel depressed at their changing figures.
Weight gain is an inevitable part of being pregnant, something that pregnant women have to grin and bear. Try to remember that most of the weight you carry will be your baby, amniotic fluid, the placenta, your breasts expanding and fat laid down to help prepare for breastfeeding.
Approximate breakdown of pregnancy weight
- 7 - 9 pounds of baby
- 2 pounds of placenta
- 2 pounds of amniotic fluid
- 4 - 5 pounds of increased blood volume
